Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026
This policy explains what this website collects, why, and what you can ask me to do with it. Cross Development Services is run by me, Declan Cross, and I'm responsible for your information.
What I collect
- When you send a message: your name, your email address, your phone number if you give it, and your message.
- When you visit: this site uses Vercel Web Analytics to count visits. It records the page you visit, the site that sent you, your approximate location (country, region and city), and your browser, operating system and type of device. It doesn't identify you: each visit is counted with an anonymous code that's discarded after 24 hours.
- To run the site: my hosting provider, Vercel, processes technical information such as IP addresses to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
This site doesn't use cookies.
Why
I use your message and contact details only to reply to you, to prepare a quote and, if we work together, to run your project. I don't add you to any mailing list. I use the analytics only to see how many people visit and which pages they view, so I can improve the site.
Where it goes
Your message is sent by email to my inbox, where my email provider stores it. The website itself doesn't keep a copy. The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. in the United States: your message passes through their servers on its way to me, and they store the analytics. So your information may be processed outside Canada.
Who I share it with
No one. I don't sell, rent or trade your information. The only companies that handle it are the ones that run this site and my email (Vercel and my email provider), unless the law requires me to share it.
How long I keep it
Only as long as I need it: to reply to you and, if we work together, for as long as our project and Canadian law require.
Your choices
You can ask me what information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Send your request through the contact form, and I'll answer within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with my answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Security
The site uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), so what you type in the form is protected on its way to the site.
Changes
If this policy changes, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
